Ariana au Degrad de Canne, port de Cayenne
L'accélération des lancements à Kourou et la hauteur de cale n'étant plus adaptée à la nouvelle fusée Ariane V, rendirent nécessaire d'avoir un nouveau navire, Ariana fut utilisé a temps partiel en suppléant du navire Toucan construit en 1995.
